Job summary

TAL is a leading Australian life insurer backed by Daiichi Life. The role focuses on shaping TAL's capital management framework, supporting capital initiatives with Finance and business partners, and driving strategic reinsurance activities to improve capital efficiency and value.

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Capital, you will contribute to CAP, governance, stress testing, and dividend planning as part of a broader capital management program.

Qualifications

• Qualified Actuary with expertise in life insurance capital or valuation.
• Strong financial modelling experience.
• Excellent communication of complex concepts.
• Strong understanding of financial and operational risk management.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to TAL's capital management framework strategy.
• Support development and implementation of capital initiatives with Finance and stakeholders.
• Assist in CAP development, maintenance and enhancement.
• Participate in assessment and syndication of reinsurance initiatives.
• Support the reinsurance strategy development and execution.
• Review and influence reinsurance agreements to optimise capital efficiency.
