Job summary

The Kraft Heinz Company in Chicago is seeking a Senior Procurement Leader to guide Capex, MRO, and Utility Services procurement across North America. You will build high-performing teams, shape category strategies, and drive digital tools adoption to improve efficiency and compliance.

You will partner with business units, engineering, operations, and suppliers to deliver savings, manage risk, and ensure reliable asset protection for the manufacturing network. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, finance, operations, or related field; MBA and/or advanced procurement qualifications preferred.
• Significant procurement experience, ideally including CAPEX, maintenance, utilities, or related categories.
• Proven track record building high-performing teams with clear direction, coaching, and accountability.
• Strong experience in category strategy, strategic sourcing, negotiation, contracting, supplier relationship management, and operating model leadership.
• Strong business acumen connecting procurement decisions to financial performance and growth outcomes.
• Results-oriented, able to solve complex challenges and navigate ambiguity.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management, especially with senior leadership.
• Interest in AI, digital tools, and emerging capabilities to improve decision quality and effectiveness.
• Solution-oriented mindset to simplify complexity and drive action.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders from plant to executive leadership to align priorities and deliver business needs.
• Lead Capex, MRO, and Utility Services Procurement team to create category strategies and capabilities.
• Lead sourcing and category management across Capex, MRO, and Utility Services for North American manufacturing.
• Shape the procurement category operating model and drive digital tools adoption to improve buying efficiency and data integrity.
• Establish governance routines with Business Units to simplify engagement with Procurement.
• Lead category strategy, sourcing, contracting, implementation, and ongoing management for asset acquisition and reliability.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction across the portfolio by challenging suppliers and processes.
• Ensure sourcing disciplines are consistently applied with competition, governance, and risk assessment.
• Collaborate with Global Procurement to align strategies and leverage Kraft Heinz scale.
• Monitor portfolio performance across sourcing, contracting, productivity, and spend.
• Coach and develop talent to build a high-performing team.
• Assess procurement processes to increase digital adoption and data integrity.
• Build strategic supplier relationships and a resilient supplier base.
• Establish contractual governance across the portfolio and monitor throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Deliver productivity commitments aligned with business plans.
