Job summary

ProPetro Services, Inc. seeks a Chief Accounting Officer to lead the accounting, financial reporting, and controllership functions, ensuring GAAP-compliant disclosures and robust internal controls. The CAO reports to the CFO and collaborates with the Audit Committee and external auditors.

The role oversees SEC filings, technical accounting, and the annual close, and supports strategic growth with policy direction and process improvements. Based on site in Midland or Tomball, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA license.
• 15+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, SOX compliance, and internal controls.
• Demonstrated experience in leadership involving financial reporting, technical accounting, and external audit activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting, financial reporting, and controllership functions.
• Oversee the preparation and filing of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and other SEC filings.
• Direct the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and consolidation processes.
• Lead technical accounting evaluations and establish accounting policies for significant transactions and emerging standards (ASC topics).
• Oversee income tax accounting in coordination with outside advisors.
• Maintain SOX compliance and internal control environment.
• Partner with CFO, Audit Committee, and external auditors on disclosures and governance.
