Job summary

BluestoneLogic seeks an experienced systems engineer to help modernize GCCS-J for DISA. You’ll translate operator needs into clear requirements and collaborate with senior developers to design an integrated solution.

You’ll plan demonstrations, produce architecture artifacts, and guide DoDAF and data rules, traveling for Combatant Command engagements and working in a hybrid BluestoneLogic, DISA, and remote environment.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years experience in systems engineering for software‑intensive systems.
• Experience supporting Joint C2 systems is a bonus.
• Familiarity with cloud and edge deployment patterns, API integration, and operating across classified networks (e.g., SIPR, SECRET/REL).
• Willingness to travel up to 6 weeks/year CONUS and OCONUS for Combatant Command engagements.
• U.S. citizenship and an active DoD SECRET clearance, or eligibility to obtain a final DoD SECRET clearance or above.

Responsibilities

• Engage Combatant Command personnel to understand GCCS‑J use and capture warfighter needs.
• Derive GCCS‑J integration requirements with FoS program offices and service programs.
• Write clear, testable requirements and acceptance criteria for warfighting outcomes.
• Partner with senior developers to shape design and evaluate trade-offs.
• Plan how GCCS‑J modernization fits into demonstrations and exercises.
• Coordinate with operations teams during demos to ensure objectives are met.
• Produce DoDAF‑compliant diagrams, data rulesets, design docs, and reports.
• Advise on improvements across C2 architecture, cloud, data management.
