Job description

We are looking for energetic engineers to solve integration challenges for the modernized Global Command and Control System – Joint (GCCS-J) built by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). You’ll experiment with GCCS-J beata releases to solve hard integration problems for GCCS-J in support of Combatant Commands, the DISA Mission Partner Environment (MPE) and DISA Joint Operational Edge (JOE/JOE‑CE) initiatives. You’ll deploy, operate, and improve GCCS-J integration solutions to help the GCCS-J PMO plan and coordinate the delivery of interoperable, modernized GCCS-J capabilities for real‑world operations. Our purpose is singular — to optimize warfighter performance through information technology.

You have…

  • A curious mind. You enjoy digging into how C2 systems, networks, and data exchanges actually work — and then thinking about how you would do it differently.

  • A passion for turning innovative ideas into real solutions. You love a good integration challenge, and you enjoy experimenting with ways to solve it, even when your ideas fail.

  • A bias for integration over reinvention. You reach for existing systems, APIs, and open‑source building blocks before writing custom software, and you know when custom code is the right call.

  • A desire to be understood. You speak clearly and write concisely. Your goal is to ensure operators, engineers, and senior leaders grasp your ideas, decisions, results, and recommendations.

  • An open mind. You seek input from others to understand their perspective, and you appreciate constructive feedback on your work.

  • A penchant for helping your teammates. You enjoy sharing your extensive knowledge and insights with others to help them improve their work and grow as engineers.

We have…

  • A devotion to making technology work for the warfighter. We know technology can help operators work faster, better, and smarter. We help our customers and users raise their productivity level and eliminate wasting their time.

  • A dedication to detail. We believe semantics are critical to making our ideas a reality. We work hard to ensure that our team and our customers have a shared understanding of the products that we design and build.

  • An affinity to action. We’d rather learn from our mistakes than wait until we designed the perfect solution. Sure, we plan our projects, but we want to get started as fast as possible then iterate until we find the best solution that works for our customers and users.

  • A drive for continuous improvement. We are always looking for new ways to solve old problems. Whether they’re for our customers or ourselves, we always seek opportunities to do something better.

What You’ll Do

As a senior integration & ops engineer member, you’ll work shoulder‑to‑shoulder with our DISA customer, the GCCS-J software development team, the C2 Portfolio program offices, and engineers from emerging commercial C2 systems that need to integrate with GCCS-J, such as Palantir and Anduril.

  • Lead third-party integration engineering for the GCCS-J PMO so it can be adapted to support MPE and JOE goals — including vertical integration with PAE Services, PAE Cyber, PAE Transport, and DISA J‑9, and horizontal data exchange with third‑party systems.

  • Design and automate GCCS-J deployments — installs, updates, and rollbacks — and refactor deployment footprints to run cleanly in cloud and JOE/JOE‑CE environments.

  • Conduct Independent Verification & Validation of GCCS-J APIs and their integration with emerging commercial C2 systems (such as Palantir Maven Smart Systems and Anduril Edge Data Mesh

  • Conduct Independent Verification & Validation of GCCS-J integration with DISA enterprise, MPE, and JOE/JOE‑CE services.

  • Deploy, monitor, and operate GCCS-J releases in unclassified and classified test environments hosted in the cloud and on‑premise.

  • Produce the artifacts that keep the program moving: DoDAF‑compliant architectural diagrams, network comms diagrams, integration design and solution documentation, TEM minutes, demonstration reports, and trip reports.

  • Make recommendations and advise on improvements for GCCS-J integration architecture, design, networking, legacy and high‑speed data exchange, electromagnetic spectrum technologies, cybersecurity, DoD‑approved commercial cloud, and frontier AI models and agents.

Your Talents

We are seeking senior C2 Integration & Operations Engineers who are good at:

  • Integrating commercial and open‑source software to solve C2 integration challenges across program, service, and network boundaries.

  • Designing, deploying, and operating software in cloud and edge environments using virtualization and containerization.

  • Automating deployments — installs, updates, and rollbacks — and monitoring systems running across distributed, classified networks.

  • Verifying and validating APIs and data exchanges.

  • Analyzing data make defensible decisions and drive enhancements.

  • Communicating your ideas and the results of your work in both verbal and written form to engineers, program leadership, and uniformed operators.

  • Collaborating with program offices, government leads, and warfighters to reach a shared goal.

  • Doing what needs to be done to help your customer succeed — including showing up at exercises and Combatant Commands when it matters.

What You Need

To become a member of the BluestoneLogic team, you’ll need:

  • 8+ years experience deploying, integrating, and operating software solutions.

  • 8+ years experience deploying, integrating, and operating C2 systems is a bonus.

  • U.S. citizenship and an active DoD SECRET clearance, or eligibility to obtain a final DoD SECRET clearance or above.

  • Willingness to travel to both CONUS and OCONUS, for exercises and Combatant Command engagements when needed(e.g., Tampa, Colorado Springs, Doral, Stuttgart, and Oahu).

  • Ability to work in a hybrid model across BluestoneLogic HQ, DISA at Fort Meade, MD, and remote.
