Job summary

Primary Weapons in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Buyer to manage materials and services to support the production plan. The Buyer will work with the Sourcing Manager to identify suppliers for tooling, packaging, production materials, and outsourced services.

Responsibilities include creating purchase orders, obtaining quotes, negotiating prices, scheduling deliveries, tracking receipts, maintaining supplier relationships, and developing SOPs for procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 1–2 years procurement experience.
• Strong reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Mathematical ability for cost analysis and quantities.
• Reasoning ability to solve practical problems.
• Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets, and MRP/ERP software.
• APICS/CPIM certification desired

Responsibilities

• Work with material planning software to identify material demand.
• Prepare purchase orders, select vendors, obtain quotes, negotiate prices, schedule delivery.
• Track daily receipt of goods and status of outsource processes.
• Update planning software and Planning team on task completion and schedule changes.
• Maintain supplier relationships and develop new/alternate suppliers.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for procurement processes.
