Job summary

Hunting Dearborn Division is seeking a self-motivated Buyer to negotiate, plan, and purchase goods and services. You will develop supplier relationships to support company goals and improve total value while operating on-site at our Maine facility.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. On-site work and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 5-10 years of experience in Purchasing/Supply Chain or related field preferred.
• Microsoft Office experience at an intermediate level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Generates requests for quotes, purchase orders and related documentation.
• Communicates with internal customers and suppliers regarding purchases and projects.
• Generates year-over-year cost savings for assigned commodities.
• Manages supplier relationships and evaluates proposals for best value.
• Schedules pickups with freight services and tracks shipments.
• Prepares packing slips, bills of lading and international customs forms.
