Job summary

Skyway Precision is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to support procurement operations across all Skyway facilities. This role purchases goods and services, manages the RFQ process, maintains supplier and purchasing records, and collaborates with Manufacturing, Production Control, Accounting, and suppliers to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organizational, recordkeeping and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of computer operations and business systems.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create, issue, and maintain purchase orders for goods and services.
• Coordinate and manage the RFQ process for new and existing products.
• Distribute RFQs to suppliers and collect quotations.
• Analyze quotes and compile pricing data in RFQ spreadsheets.
• Generate weekly orders for tooling and MRO supplies with production.
• Maintain vendor master data and supplier records.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Production Control, and Accounting to resolve invoice issues.
• Ensure accuracy of purchasing documentation and records.
• Support ISO/TS continuous improvement initiatives.
