Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Sr. Buyer to support day-to-day purchasing activities, ensuring timely supply of materials for production and managing purchase orders. The role collaborates with Planning, Sourcing, Engineering and Logistics to maintain purchasing accuracy and optimize inventory levels.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree, strong Excel skills, and experience in manufacturing with ERP systems such as SAP. English proficiency and cross‑functional collaboration are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, International Business, or a related field.
• Previous experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Materials Management, or a related area.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and support purchasing decisions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication, organization, and follow‑up skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to communicate directly with suppliers, follow up on commitments, and support timely issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase orders from placement through delivery, ensuring alignment with material requirements and production schedules.
• Follow up with suppliers regarding order confirmations, delivery dates, and outstanding commitments to ensure timely material availability.
• Monitor material requirements and inventory levels to support production continuity while minimizing excess inventory.
• Identify potential material shortages and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to implement timely resolution plans.
• Maintain accurate purchasing information and ensure purchase orders and related data are updated in the appropriate systems.
• Analyze purchasing and material data to identify discrepancies, monitor supplier performance, and support informed decision‑making.
• Collaborate with Planning, Sourcing, Engineering, Logistics, and other internal teams to address material supply issues and improve purchasing processes.
• Prioritize multiple purchasing requirements and proactively communicate potential risks affecting material availability and production schedules.
