Job summary

Alamo Group Inc. is seeking a Buyer II to support purchasing and materials planning activities across Bush Hog, RhinoAg, and Dixie Chopper brands.

You will manage purchase orders in JDE ERP, negotiate terms, and support production planning to improve delivery performance and cost efficiency. The role requires ERP proficiency, strong negotiation and analytical skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to ensure best value and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.
• 5+ years in manufacturing with 3+ years in supply chain (purchasing, scheduling).
• Professional supply chain certification or working towards (CPIM, CPSM).
• Competent in JDE ERP system and ERP concepts.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter and update supply chain parameters and purchase orders in the JDE ERP system.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers and obtain manager approval when needed.
• Support production planning meetings and coordinate with planners on action items.
• Identify savings opportunities and manage PPV variances.
• Develop supplier relations and manage supplier performance and delivery.
