Applied Engineering, Inc. in Yankton is seeking a Buyer/Planner to manage replenishment for production materials and cultivate supplier relationships. You will interpret specifications, understand blueprints, and help structure Bill of Materials to meet customer requirements with accuracy and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in business, 4+ years in buyer/planner roles, and proven MRP/ERP experience. Proficiency with Outlook and MS Office is expected for daily operations.

Competenze

• Associate degree in business management or related field.
• Four or more years of experience in buyer/planner role, or equivalent.
• Proficient with Outlook and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision after training; strong initiative and work ethic.
• Prior MRP/ERP experience required.
• Post-offer drug screen and background checks are required.

Mansioni

• Manage replenishment process for production materials.
• Cultivate supplier relationships and monitor monthly supplier performance.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers based on customer requirements/specifications.
• Ensure NDAs, surveys and other certifications are requested and maintained.
• Participate in supplier development meetings.
• Review planned materials reports and create purchase orders based on demands.
• Monitor and review open purchase orders and communicate delays to suppliers.
• Manage shelf life reporting and disposition of expired materials.
• Review specifications to ensure current revision is used for compliance.
• Negotiate with suppliers for best pricing, lead times, and discounts.
