Job summary

Rotating Machinery Services Inc. is seeking an experienced MRO Buyer/Purchaser to support shop operations in Bethlehem, PA.

The role involves quoting, negotiating, and placing orders for MRO and emergency items, implementing purchasing systems, and ensuring timely deliveries to maintain production schedules. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in purchasing, strong Excel and process skills, and the ability to coordinate across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in purchasing and planning.
• Experience procuring MRO, shop items, raw materials, hardware and related items.
• Knowledge of Bills of Materials, specs and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Quoting, negotiating and placing orders for MRO and emergency items.
• Implementing the VIM system for standard hardware and shop items.
• Purchase indirect shop tooling, cutters and consumables.
• Developing cost-saving strategies and volume discounts.
• Create and process emergency purchase orders to support turnaround.
• Monitor open orders and deliveries to meet production schedules.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery.
