Job summary

Rocket Farms, based in Half Moon Bay, CA, seeks a Senior Buyer to lead day-to-day procurement and sourcing for live plant products, floral décor, packaging, and production components across all facilities. You will work with vendors, importers, and internal teams to balance cost, quality, and timely delivery, ensuring production alignment and strong supplier relationships.

The role requires 5+ years in procurement, a bachelor’s degree in business, and proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in procurement or supply chain; horticulture/manufacturing preferred.
• Strategic thinker with cross-functional leadership.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and inventory management.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
• Strong communication; bilingual preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; company vehicle insurance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing, material planning, cost analysis, and process improvements.
• Coordinate with sales and product development on replenishment and PO execution.
• Oversee import processes, brokers, and inbound transportation.
• Maintain item master data, BOMs, and inventory control in the MRP system.
• Evaluate supplier performance, costs, and lead negotiations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive procurement initiatives.
• Develop standardized procurement SOPs across product lines.
• Foster strong supplier relationships to ensure quality and delivery.
• Other duties as assigned.
