Job description

Join our high‑growth team as a Buyer at Moonshot, responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing suppliers that support the delivery of large‑scale electrical infrastructure, modular data centers, and energy systems. This role is critical to ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and on‑time delivery across our rapidly scaling operations. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Buyer will partner cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to execute procurement strategies that enable speed, reliability, and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the procurement of materials, goods, and services for the organization, ensuring cost, quality, and service optimization.
  • Influence key internal stakeholder relationships to drive the delivery of group purchasing objectives.
  • Procure and manage a portfolio of materials, goods, or services within assigned categories.
  • Develop and deliver KPIs relating to cost, quality, service, and continuity of supply for the portfolio.
  • Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to implement an innovation strategy and evolve it as technology, markets, and business needs change.
  • Continuously gather, analyze, interpret, and act upon market intelligence; communicate updates to internal stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Minimize risk to continuity of supply by conducting supplier risk assessments and implementing corrective actions as required.
  • Support supplier negotiations, pricing agreements, and basic contract terms in partnership with leadership and legal as needed.
  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and project teams to ensure timely purchasing execution and issue resolution.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of procurement or supply chain experience; manufacturing, industrial, or construction environments preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, and service.
  • Ability to interpret technical requirements and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
  • Comfortable working with KPIs, spend analysis, and cost‑reduction initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a bias toward action in fast‑paced environments.
  • Experience supporting electrical components, power distribution equipment, or data center supply chains is a plus.
