Job summary

Bunzl is seeking a Buyer to assist the Purchasing Manager with coordinating inbound purchase orders and vendor management. This role oversees products and vendors, ensuring cost-effective and timely transportation.

Key duties include cultivating vendor relationships, optimizing inventory, and collaborating with internal teams to meet customer demands while maintaining high accuracy and communication. Strong Excel and AS400 experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years in purchasing or similar roles, preferably in distribution.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook; attention to detail and multitasking ability.
• Negotiation skills and experience with AS400 system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound purchase orders from vendors and manage assigned products.
• Cultivate and maintain strong customer and vendor relationships.
• Collaborate on inventory control strategies and review obsolete materials.
• Use data analysis to optimize turnover and meet customer demand.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless operations.
