Talentify is seeking a Buyer to manage purchase orders, expedite orders, and track deliveries within established guidelines. The role focuses on maintaining inventory availability while controlling working capital and ensuring accurate order documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field.
• 1 year purchasing experience in a supply chain environment.
• Knowledge of purchasing and inventory concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Knowledge of business performance measures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review daily purchasing reports and determine quantities to purchase and create purchasing documents to send suppliers.
• Maintain inventory availability while minimizing working capital.
• Execute stock replenishment, special orders (SO), and drop ship (DS) buying as assigned; decide based on cost effectiveness and terms.
• Guarantee accurate PO quantities, costs, notes, and terms compliance.
• Ensure EDI, ASR/VMI, emailed and faxed orders reach suppliers.
• Follow up with suppliers on order status and delivery; communicate information to affected departments.
• Review supplier shipping error notices and take appropriate actions.
• Review quarterly excess/inactive inventory and negotiate returns with suppliers.
• Assist managers in evaluating supplier performance on on-time delivery, fill rates, and costs.
