Job summary

Zekelman Industries is seeking a Buyer to manage purchase orders, supplier pricing, and delivery schedules for Arizona and Texas operations. This onsite role demands attention to detail, negotiation skills, and collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Accounts Payable.

Review drawings, solicit quotes, track performance, and drive cost-saving initiatives while traveling to project sites as needed. Associate degree and 1–3+ years in manufacturing procurement preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent; 1–3+ years in purchasing/procurement.
• Experience negotiating supplier pricing, contracts, and purchasing agreements.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Convert requisitions into POs and issue to suppliers.
• Monitor open POs and delivery schedules for material availability.
• Solicit quotations and pricing for drawings and specs.
• Lead cost-saving and process-improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable on invoice discrepancies.
