Job summary

Motive Companies is seeking a Buyer to support procurement for dynamic custom projects in California. You will work with multiple departments to support supply chain activities, monitor supplier performance, and integrate demand planning with sales trends and forecasts.

The role requires 3-5 years of purchasing experience, strong Excel and ERP skills (SAGE or MS Dynamics), and the ability to manage inventory across locations. Salary range is $75,000–$85,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience with commercial purchasing and supply chain logistics.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel and pivot charts, and ERP systems such as SAGE or MS Dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Solicits price quotes from suppliers.
• Generates purchase orders (POs).
• Monitors lead times, material availability, and WIP status across the supply chain; informs stakeholders of status and issues.
• Coordinates with sales to fold sales trends into demand planning and run rates.
• Suggests inventory adjustments based on demand, market trends, or supply variability.
• Manages inventory across multiple storage locations.
• Builds and maintains relationships with third-party vendors.
