Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Strategic Buyer in Fort Mill, SC to manage procurement of materials and services, optimize supplier relationships, and negotiate favorable pricing and contracts. You will run RFx events, analyze spending, and collaborate with operations to ensure reliable suppliers at competitive costs.

The role demands strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills, plus experience with ERP/purchasing systems. Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience within purchasing, procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or a similar function.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships.
• Strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills. Experience using an ERP, purchasing, or procurement system.
• Ability to analyze purchasing data and identify opportunities for savings or process improvements.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple suppliers and priorities.
• Experience supporting a manufacturing, production, or similar operating environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and service.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supplier agreements.
• Manage relationships with key suppliers and address performance or delivery issues.
• Run sourcing activities such as RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs.
• Analyze company spending to find cost-saving opportunities.
• Research the market to identify new vendors and sourcing options.
• Track supplier performance using KPIs such as cost, quality, delivery, and service.
• Partner with internal operations and product teams on purchasing needs.
• Manage supplier contracts, including renewals and performance tracking.
• Work with ERP/procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Coupa.
