Powers & Sons Construction, a third-generation family-owned contractor, seeks a Business Systems Analyst in Indianapolis to optimize workflows, systems, and data across departments.

You will assess processes, document findings, and collaborate with leadership to build a multi-year improvement roadmap. The role emphasizes cross-functional work, vendor coordination, and practical AI-based improvements to drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in business analysis, business systems, or process improvement.
• Ability to interview, document workflows, and translate needs into requirements.
• Experience implementing processes or reports with business users and technical colleagues.
• Ability to analyze data with spreadsheets and identify data-quality issues.
• Strong organization, communication, and ability to manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct department assessments via interviews and workflow review; document responsibilities, approvals, handoffs, manual work, delays, and recurring problems.
• Maintain an inventory of business applications, spreadsheets, reporting tools, and vendor services; document purpose, users, ownership, costs, connections.
• Identify key data sources, definitions, owners, access needs, and quality issues; establish baselines and data collection methods.
• Prepare findings with process maps, inventories, and ranked opportunities; estimate costs, benefits, dependencies, ownership.
• Help leadership develop and maintain a multi-year roadmap; compare processes, tools, and new software.
