Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Business System Analyst to contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of business applications. The role focuses on managing applications and data, ensuring performance, accessibility, and alignment with business needs.

The analyst will develop requirements, document processes, and model data while coordinating with functional areas to evolve the system to meet changing business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years experience or Master's degree in Information Systems or related field is required.
• Experience in the systems development, implementation, and operations of a large-scale, enterprise systems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to effectively lead and facilitate meetings with customers and technical team members.
• Must be deliverables focused and detail oriented.
• Must exhibit exceptional teamwork skills.
• Must have a strong customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
• Consults with functional areas to understand varied business needs and how changes affect the system.
• Develops detailed business user requirements, system documentation, workflows, and data modeling.
• Negotiates plans, time frames and trade-offs with clients and management.
• Develops detailed specifications for implementation and communicates changes.
• Tests system modifications and supports training materials.
• Produces reports and ad-hoc database reporting as needed.
• Monitors and audits system usage and purchasing procedures for regulatory compliance.
• Collaborates with Purchasing Systems Manager on planning and resource allocation.
