Job summary

ACSET, Ottawa County, is seeking a Business Solutions Representative to serve as the primary liaison between employers and Michigan Works! services. The role focuses on promoting workforce development programs, coordinating training, and providing labor market information to employers and job seekers.

Responsibilities include presenting Michigan Works! services, supporting recruitment efforts, analyzing proposals, preparing reports, and building strong community partnerships to meet business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in business, social services, public administration, or related field.
• 2–4 years of leadership experience in business or workforce administration or equivalent.
• Computer skills to use word processing, database, and spreadsheet software.
• Written skills to prepare routine and special reports and documentation.
• Analytical skills to identify operational problems and solutions.
• Strong interpersonal and public speaking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and present the portfolio of Michigan Works! system services to employers, job seekers and the community.
• Market training programs to employers and coordinate requests for training.
• Provide technical assistance with the State of Michigan online data bank, including registration and worker recruitment.
• Maintain knowledge of the job seeker marketplace and provide labor market information.
• Review employer input to make resource recommendations and foster community collaborations.
• Represent the Michigan Works! system at career fairs, events, and meetings.
• Prepare routine and special reports as needed.
• Collaborate to achieve Workforce Development program outcomes.
• Establish and maintain relationships with local and regional business communities, focusing on customer satisfaction.
• Attend professional development activities and participate in service organizations.
