Job summary

Dow Jones is seeking an experienced Business Operations Manager to drive the operational cadence, dashboards, and KPI visibility for the WSJ Leadership Institute. You will own cross-functional KPI tracking, strategic initiatives, and partnerships, including due diligence and post-acquisition workstreams.

The role requires analytical depth, structured problem-solving, and hands-on execution, reporting to the Senior Director of Business Operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Business Operations, Corporate Strategy, FP&A, or Management Consulting.
• Proven track record managing complex cross-functional projects with tight deadlines.
• M&A integrations, corporate development, or large-scale transformation programs.
• Experience evaluating, onboarding, or managing strategic vendor, channel, or commercial partner relationships.
• High proficiency in Excel/Looker/Tableau and modern BI tooling.
• Execution: break down large problems into structured project plans.
• Stakeholder management with department heads and director-level leaders.
• Clear communication of operational metrics to senior leaders.
• Adaptability in ambiguous environments with shifting priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage division-wide dashboarding and KPIs.
• Facilitate weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadence meetings and risk tracking.
• Lead end-to-end cross-functional strategic projects to improve efficiency and top-line growth.
• Program-manage operational due diligence and post-acquisition integration workstreams.
• Evaluate potential strategic partners and vendors for operational fit and cost.
• Lead generative AI tooling initiatives within the operations ecosystem.
• Support annual budgeting process with finance partners.
• Review processes to identify efficiencies and automate tasks.
• Resolve inter-departmental bottlenecks and misalignments.
