Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of transportation logistics experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience in bulk liquid transportation, tank trucks, chemical manufacturing, or concrete admixtures preferred.
• Strong planning, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule outbound bulk shipments based on customer requirements, inventory and production availability, and equipment needs.
• Review forecasts, orders, delivery dates, inventory levels, and telemetry data to develop daily transportation plans.
• Assign and sequence shipments to improve routing efficiency, equipment utilization, and transportation costs.
• Manage shipments from planning through loading, transit, delivery, and completion, keeping accurate system records.
• Monitor carrier performance, capacity, and compliance with requirements; escalate issues when needed.
• Coordinate bulk equipment (tank trailers, tractors, drivers) and collaborate with internal teams on capacity and forecasted demand.
• Identify shortages or imbalances and propose scheduling or repositioning actions.
• Serve as primary day-to-day contact for bulk carriers, communicating requirements and schedule changes.
• Improve transportation systems, processes, and cross-functional workflows to reduce costs and improve service.
• Ensure carriers receive accurate handling instructions for each shipment.
• Address safety, quality, or compliance concerns promptly.
