Job summary

Master Builders Solutions is seeking a Manager, Transportation Operations in Beachwood, OH to lead planning and dispatch for the North American transportation network, including bulk tank, rail, and packaged freight. You will oversee carrier management, budgets, and network optimization to meet service targets.

The role requires 5+ years in transportation/logistics, leadership experience, and strong DOT/hazmat knowledge, with travel 20–30%.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, or a related field or equivalent experience.
5+ years of transportation or logistics experience, with bulk, tank truck, or hazmat experience preferred.
2+ years of people leadership experience.
Experience with carrier negotiations, transportation budgets, and performance management.

Responsibilities

Lead bulk and packaged transportation planning, scheduling, and dispatch.
Lead, coach, and develop transportation planners, dispatchers, and coordinators.
Manage carrier relationships, contracts, rate negotiations, and performance.
Manage transportation budgets, forecasts, and cost and service targets.
Optimize routes, capacity, utilization, and overall network performance.
Monitor transportation KPIs and drive service, cost, and productivity improvements.
Leverage TMS, ERP, telemetry, and routing technologies to improve execution and visibility.
Partner with Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Service, Sales, and Procurement to support business and customer requirements.
Ensure compliance with DOT, hazmat, safety, and transportation requirements.
