Job summary

Gilcrest Jewett, a Division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to generate and secure new sales while maintaining existing accounts across the Des Moines, Iowa City and Cedar Rapids areas. The role focuses on growing profitability through targeted outreach, cold calls, and effective account management.

You will promote, quote, and coordinate delivery of building materials, work with customers and contractors, and ensure timely pricing and service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of sales experience in building materials or related industry required.
• Knowledge of building materials and ability to negotiate prices and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Promote, sell, and secure new accounts.
• Provide existing accounts with products, timing, and information.
• Assist with product selection suited to customer needs.
• Prepare price quotations, terms of sales, delivery dates, and service obligations.
• Resolve customer complaints and problems.
• Assist in accounts receivable collection.
• Coordinate schedules and material deliveries.
• Input orders and maintain awareness of budget and margins.
• Research and order special products as needed.
• Adhere to conflict of interest and attendance policies.
• Comply with company safety policies.
