The role requires a Bachelor's degree and seven years in government budgeting/tax administration, with at least three years in management. CPA or similar certifications are preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Seven years of government budgeting and tax administration experience with at least three years in management.
• Experience in governmental budgeting or accounting required.
• Equivalent education/experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the development and administration of the County's annual budget.
• Oversee budget hearings and tax change processes.
• Lead payroll budgeting tools and budgeting strategies.
• Prepare budget reports and presentations for officials and the public.
• Oversee tax relief programs and support for the Board of Equalization.
• Coordinate financial tracking for CRAs, RDAs, PIDs, IFDs and related programs.
• Calculate and certify property tax rates with State Tax Commission.
• Educate the public and stakeholders on budget and tax issues.
• Train departments in budget preparation and compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
