Job summary

City of Everett, MA is seeking a Budget & Financial Analyst to support operating and capital budgets, financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance management under the Budget Director.

You will analyze budgets, maintain revenue projections, prepare reports, and collaborate with city departments on special projects; this is a growth position for a strong analyst and problem-solver.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Data Analytics or similar field and one to three years of related professional experience; or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, administration and monitoring of City’s operating and capital budgets.
• Analyze budgets, actual expenditures, revenues, payroll, staffing and other financial information; prepare budget-to-actual analyses and variance analyses.
• Maintain revenue forecasting models and prepare projections to support budget development and long-range financial planning.
• Maintain the City’s budget database and assist in the annual budget book production and distribution.
• Collaborate with Finance and other City departments on special projects as assigned.
