Job summary

The City of Rancho Cucamonga is seeking a Budget Analyst to support the Finance Department. You will serve as a budget liaison, develop revenue estimates, and forecast expenditures and revenues to help manage the city’s financial parameters.

You will analyze revenues, monitor variances, coordinate with departments, and support budget procedures and training. Experience in government budgeting and proficiency with OpenGov and Workday are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, or related field.
• Two years of responsible governmental administrative experience or equivalent training/experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Finance Department budget liaison and assist department representatives with budget development and implementation.
• Forecast expenditures and revenues and costing estimates for budget development.
• Develop revenue estimates for annual budget and multi-year forecasts.
• Monitor revenue vs. budget and explain variances to leadership.
• Coordinate with departments to track fees, charges for services, grants, and other revenue sources.
• Provide system administration support for budget/financial systems (OpenGov, Workday).
