Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, public finance, accounting, or related field with professional budgeting experience.
• Experience in financial, budgeting, and program evaluation work.
• Master’s degree in public administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the preparation of the operating budget by reviewing and analyzing budget requests and collaborating with departments.
• Performs analysis of current operating expenditures and estimates future expenditures for multiple funds and complex departments.
• Assists in long-range financial projections and maintains program pro formas.
• Develops methodologies to analyze service impact for the community and leads complex research projects on budget issues.
• Gathers data and participates in research and evaluation studies.
