Job summary

Augusta Richmond County’s Central Services Department is seeking a budget and procurement professional to support the evaluation and management of the department's budget, contracts, SOPs, maintenance, purchasing, and operations. This role reports to the Director and collaborates with multiple stakeholders to ensure compliant and efficient service delivery.

Qualifications

BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required.
Three years of experience in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
Knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial management.

Responsibilities

Assist in overall planning, operation, and administration of the department's financial and purchasing functions.
Prepare the annual capital and operating budget for final presentation and approval.
Track purchase orders, contracts, and invoices to ensure accurate billing and timely procurement.
Coordinate the department's strategic planning and development.
Act as a liaison for financial reporting, budget assistance, and related inquiries.
Create and update standard operating procedures for departmental staff.
May supervise and train designated staff.
