Job summary

OHSU is seeking a Budget & Finance Manager to join the Finance management team. This senior role develops and monitors annual operating and capital budgets for research and education missions, and reviews monthly financial performance.

The position oversees education department budgeting, variance reporting, and coordination of multiple projects. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance plus relevant coursework and experience.
• Extensive experience in financial analysis and budgeting processes.
• Strong proficiency with spreadsheets and financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the annual budget process across Research, Education and Central units.
• Develop, maintain and report P&L statements and budget status reports.
• Lead monthly variance analysis and coordinate with Finance teams.
• Mentor education finance staff and support department objectives.
• Provide executive-level summaries and recommendations on budgets and forecasts.
• Support special projects and strategic fund allocations.
