Job summary

City of New York’s NYC Aging seeks a Budget Analyst to support financial oversight and programmatic operations across the five boroughs. Qualifications

• Master's degree in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, HR management, management science, OR a JD from a law school.
• Bachelor's degree + two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in budget/financial areas.
• Associate degree with four years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma plus six years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Configure and review contract provider budgets, modifications, amendments, and related financial tasks for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide technical assistance and high-quality customer service on budget development, modifications and expense monitoring.
• Maintain and verify accuracy of tracking mechanisms and records.
• Design, produce, and maintain monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reports for Senior Leadership.
• Coordinate with Bureau of Financial Services to align initiatives and ensure timely processing of transactions.
• Communicate project goals, deliverables, and timelines to stakeholders clearly and professionally.
• Perform special projects and assist other units as needed.
