Job summary

NYC Department for the Aging is seeking a Budget Analyst to support financial oversight and program operations across nonprofit providers serving older New Yorkers. The role emphasizes accuracy, collaboration with multiple bureaus, and timely reporting to leadership in a fast-paced public agency environment.

Reporting to the Budget Supervisor, the analyst will configure budgets, assist with budget development, and create clear financial reports for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Master's or 2+ years in budget/financial administration, or related field.
• Experience with budget development, modifications, and expense monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Configure and review contract provider budgets and amendments in PASSPort Financials.
• Provide technical assistance on budget development and related matters to stakeholders.
• Maintain and verify tracking mechanisms for records.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reports for senior leadership.
• Coordinate with Bureau of Financial Services to align initiatives.
• Communicate goals, timelines, and deliverables to stakeholders.
