Job summary

NC State University’s Poole College of Management is seeking a Budget Analyst to provide professional budget and financial support. The role involves assisting with budget development, monitoring expenditures, and preparing financial reports for college leadership and departmental administrators.

You will collaborate with college leadership and central offices to ensure compliance and responsible stewardship of resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 12 accounting credit hours or related training/experience.
• Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, or accounting with ability to prepare reports.
• Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and financial systems; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and maintenance of annual operating, personnel, and departmental budgets.
• Monitor budgets and identify variances between budgeted and actual expenditures.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc budget and financial reports for college leadership and departments.
• Advise on budget availability, funding options, and financial implications.
