Job summary

Confidential in the United States seeks a Controller reporting to the Director of Finance to oversee financial accounting, reporting, internal controls, and strategic metrics. You will guide budgeting, forecasting, and cost management across the business unit and drive data-driven decision making.

The role requires 7–10 years of financial leadership, strong ERP and Excel skills, and a CPA or MBA preferred. You will mentor a finance team and partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in financial management and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards; cost accounting experience a plus.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Syteline) and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the business unit.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
• Consolidate financial statements for the entire group.
• Drive insights into key cost drivers and site operational performance.
• Develop and manage budgeting and forecasting with leadership.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic planning for senior management.
• Lead and mentor a team responsible for subsidiary-level accounting and reporting.
• Communicate performance, trends, and forecasts to stakeholders.
• Oversee financial systems implementation and integration where needed.
• Monitor standard costs, variances, inventory tracking, and labor activity.
