Job summary

Leggett & Platt Incorporated is seeking a Branch Controller to oversee month-end close and accounting for locations in Carthage, MO and Winchester, KY. You will collaborate with Bedding Segment teams, ensure accurate financial statements, and support internal audits while maintaining policy compliance and cross-functional engagement.

The role emphasizes cost accounting, inventory costing, and data-driven decision support.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
5+ years of accounting experience, preference in manufacturing.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Understanding of Cost Accounting and methodologies.
Self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Ability to communicate key data to Branch and Bedding organization.
Strong Excel skills and the ability to convert data to information.
High degree of professionalism and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

Collaborate across Bedding Segment to maintain consistent business processes.
Review and verify accuracy of financial statements.
Maintain compliance with policy and procedures and assist with Internal Audit visits/requests.
Manage and complete the month-end close process.
Develop relationships with Branch personnel to provide support and information sharing on a regular basis as appropriate.
Fulfill requests of Corporate Departments (Accounting, Tax, Risk, Credit, etc.).
Complete/oversee costing of inventory.
