Job summary

Leggett & Platt Inc. is seeking a Branch Controller to ensure the completeness and accuracy of month-end closings and to drive financial functions for locations in Carthage, MO and Winchester, KY.

You will participate in cross-functional discussions to improve results and support the Bedding segment with consistent processes. • Ability to communicate key data and insight to others within the Branch and Bedding organization.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across Bedding Segment to maintain consistent business processes.
• Review and verify accuracy of financial statements.
• Maintain compliance with policy and procedures and assist with Internal Audit visits/requests.
• Manage and complete the month-end close process.
• Develop relationships with Branch personnel to provide support and information sharing on a regular basis as appropriate.
• Fulfill requests of Corporate Departments (Accounting, Tax, Risk, Credit, etc.).
• Complete/oversee costing of inventory.

As a Branch Controller you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the completeness and accuracy of month end closing and other accounting functions. You will also be heavily engaged in a variety of operational and cross-functional discussions to drive the business to greater results. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by supporting the financial functions for our locations in Carthage, MO and Winchester, KY. So, what will you be doing as a Branch Controller?

• Collaborate across Bedding Segment to maintain consistent business processes


• Review and verify accuracy of financial statements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:
