Job summary

Leggett & Platt Inc. is seeking a Branch Controller to support our bedding business from locations in Carthage, MO and Winchester, KY.

You will oversee month-end close, ensure accuracy of financial statements, and participate in cross-functional discussions to drive results. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 5+ years in accounting (manufacturing preferred), strong analytical skills, cost accounting understanding, and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
5+ years of accounting experience, manufacturing preferred.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Understanding of Cost Accounting and methodologies.
Professionalism and ethical standards with the ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Collaborate across Bedding Segment to maintain consistent business processes.
Review and verify accuracy of financial statements.
Maintain compliance with policy and procedures and assist with Internal Audit visits/requests.
Manage and complete the month-end close process.
Develop relationships with Branch personnel to provide support and information sharing on a regular basis as appropriate.
Fulfill requests of Corporate Departments (Accounting, Tax, Risk, Credit, etc.).
Complete/oversee costing of inventory.
