Job summary

Leggett & Platt Inc. is seeking a Branch Controller to ensure the completeness and accuracy of month-end closings and to drive financial functions for locations in Carthage, MO and Winchester, KY.

You will participate in cross-functional discussions to improve results and support the Bedding segment with consistent processes. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 5+ years of manufacturing accounting experience, with strong Excel skills and the ability to communicate insights to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Understanding of cost accounting methodologies.
• Self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate key data and insight to others within the Branch and Bedding organization.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to convert data to information.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across Bedding Segment to maintain consistent business processes.
• Review and verify accuracy of financial statements.
• Maintain compliance with policy and procedures and assist with Internal Audit visits/requests.
• Manage and complete the month-end close process.
• Develop relationships with Branch personnel to provide support and information sharing on a regular basis as appropriate.
• Fulfill requests of Corporate Departments (Accounting, Tax, Risk, Credit, etc.).
• Complete/oversee costing of inventory.
