Job summary

UCSF Health seeks a Business Intelligence Analyst to lead analytics driving operational efficiency and strategic planning. You’ll justify and prioritize growth programs and build dashboards with AI-enabled insights.

You’ll work cross-functionally with clinical leadership, operations, finance and marketing to assess trends, forecast demand and support capacity planning across UCSF networks, including affiliate partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• 5+ years of related analytics experience.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving to manage complex data.
• Experience sourcing, analyzing and modeling data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to convey complex information clearly.
• Ability to transform large, disparate data into a clear decision-ready story.
• Strong collaboration with diverse staff and senior leadership.
• Experience advising on BI issues as a technical resource.
• Detail-oriented with time management and prioritization.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiar with BI tools Tableau, Sequel, Power BI.
• Willingness to work onsite monthly in San Francisco or Brisbane.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics to support operational efficiencies and strategic planning.
• Conduct research on competitor initiatives and industry trends.
• Identify opportunities to improve access and gain market share.
• Prioritize new geographic markets for entry.
• Assess market demand and develop growth projections and targets.
• Provide cost-benefit analyses and justify investment in new facilities and ventures.
• Build strategic scorecards to evaluate implementation progress and realized benefits.
• Support capacity planning by assessing growth initiatives impact.
• Create dashboards and decision-support tools, with selective AI incorporation.
• Collaborate with UCSF leadership, operations, finance and marketing on trends and strategies.
• Partner with affiliates to identify networks, data vendors, and reporting tools.
