Job summary

Nutramax Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Benefits and Payroll Manager to oversee the administration of benefits and payroll programs and ensure timely, accurate pay and compliant benefits management.

You will manage Open Enrollment, Paylocity configuration, and coordination with carriers and vendors, while ensuring regulatory compliance and effective employee communications across the organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years HR and benefits experience.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail oriented with thorough follow-up and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer literacy.
• Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, OSHA and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage employee benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, 401(k), life, disability).
• Coordinate annual Open Enrollment including planning, vendor liaison, and communication.
• Process enrollments, qualifying life events, status changes and terminations in Paylocity.
• Partner with carriers and vendors to resolve enrollment, billing, and data-feed issues.
• Review benefit invoices and reconcile with payroll/enrollment records.
• Monitor eligibility and communicate benefits to employees.
• Develop communications and educational materials for benefits usage.
• Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA and other laws.
• Coordinate regulatory filings, audits and reporting; track DOT/non-DOT screens as needed.
• Maintain HR data, payroll configurations, benefit plans, deductions and system processes.
• Develop reports for payroll, benefits, HR and leadership needs and automate where possible.
• Support HR projects, system implementations and vendor transitions.
