Job summary

SAK Construction is a leading privately held pipeline rehabilitation contractor in the U.S., delivering innovative solutions for sanitary and storm sewer challenges. We seek a knowledgeable Business Development Manager-Technical Director to drive organizational growth and lead BD initiatives across the country.

The role requires 5+ years in BD/sales, strong relationship building, and contract negotiations, with a BS in engineering or related field and MBA preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in business development or sales.
• 5+ years forging and maintaining business relationships.
• 5+ years negotiating contracts and leading strategic pursuits.
• Experience in construction industry or similar high-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to business development.
• Provide leadership recommendations on growth initiatives impacting BD.
• Lead alternative delivery pursuits and advise on strategy and partnering decisions.
• Develop proposals, bids, and market intelligence for strategic opportunities.
• Participate in national trade shows and industry events as requested.
• Coach regional teams on BD relationships at regional/state/local levels.
• Develop high-level relationships with customers and engineering firms.
• Identify, develop and close opportunities for business.
• Serve as internal consultant to VP of BD and other departments.
• Create departmental budgets.
