Job summary

Baker McKenzie in Chicago is seeking a results-oriented Business Development & Marketing Coordinator to support the Practice Group’s growth. You will coordinate marketing collateral, assist with proposals, and help manage client relationships and research.

The role supports strategy across the North America BDMC and Practice Group, including events and cross-group opportunities to win, retain and grow business through high standards and effective thought leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business required.
• 5+ years in marketing or business development, ideally in professional services.
• Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate competing priorities and manage multiple projects.
• Experience with CRM systems and client research.

Responsibilities

• Identify business opportunities with new and existing clients and cross-sell across groups.
• Assist with proposal development, RFP responses, and capability statements.
• Conduct client research and manage information in the firm's CRM.
• Develop and maintain marketing collateral and practice group content.
• Support business planning, budgeting, and tracking against plans.
• Assist with directories submissions and thought leadership content.
• Help plan events, webinars, and sponsorships to raise profile.
