Job summary

Baker McKenzie is seeking a Business Development Manager for Employment & Compensation in North America. The role is hybrid and collaborates with Partners to drive strategy, client retention and growth for the E&C Practice Group.

You will lead events, campaigns and cross-selling initiatives, draft proposals, and maintain marketing collateral while aligning with the NA strategy and budgeting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in marketing, communications, business, or related field.
• Experience in business development or marketing in professional services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership and mentoring ability for direct reports.
• Ability to translate business objectives into actionable strategies.
• Discipline in developing and executing programs to meet objectives.
• Ability to build relationships across multiple levels in an organization.
• Commitment to confidentiality and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategy for NA E&C events and monitor execution.
• Develop campaigns to strengthen the E&C reputation in key markets.
• Identify new business opportunities with NA BDMC team.
• Develop cross-selling opportunities with Industry and other practice groups.
• Collaborate on proposals, RFP responses, and targeted written opportunities.
• Develop and maintain NA E&C marketing collateral and capability statements.
• contribute to NA E&C strategy alignment with North America.
• Work with directories and sponsor opportunities to raise profile.
• Ensure brand consistency and up-to-date intranet content.
• Manage budgets and assess ROI for BD initiatives.
