Job summary

McGuireWoods is seeking a self-driven Business Development Manager to join its growing BD team. The role supports Healthcare and Life Sciences practices across Chicago, Richmond, New York, or DC with a hybrid remote option.

You will collaborate with attorneys to develop business plans, craft targeted messaging, manage client opportunities and drive revenue-generating initiatives. Five+ years in BD/marketing in professional services is required, Bachelor's degree essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; five+ years in business development and/or marketing within a law firm or professional services
• Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in fast-paced environments
• Strong messaging, branding, and market positioning skills

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with attorneys to develop business plans and marketing strategies
• Drive client targeting, pitches, RFP responses and relationship management
• Develop and maintain marketing collateral, bios, and case studies
• Manage budgets, forecast activity, and mentor junior staff
• Lead thought leadership and external visibility initiatives
