Job summary

Leidos UK is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our National Security and Defence division, focusing on Home Office and National Security customers. This is a UK mobile role with regular travel to Farnborough and customer sites.

You will plan and lead BD activities, develop a healthy pipeline for 2–5 year growth, build trusted relationships, and work with capture, bid, and delivery teams to shape compelling propositions. A security clearance is required for the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing and winning digital transformation, technology, or professional services opportunities within UK Government environments.
• Ability to translate customer needs into effective propositions and build trusted relationships.
• Track record of delivering growth and achieving commercial targets.
• Experience leading high-value pursuits and complex contracts.
• Strong knowledge of UK Government BD, procurement routes, and customer buying behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead business development activities contributing to growth and awards.
• Develop and manage a healthy pipeline supporting 2–5 year UK strategy.
• Build trusted relationships with Home Office and National Security customers, partners and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with capture, bid, technical and delivery teams to shape differentiated propositions.
• Identify and qualify opportunities aligned with Leidos strengths and customer outcomes.
• Lead significant new-business campaigns across the UK National Security market.
• Provide clear direction and inclusive leadership across Pursuit teams.
