Job summary

Antares in Washington, DC is seeking a Business Development Manager to build the U.S. commercial market for its nuclear microreactors. You will identify and evaluate potential customers and translate opportunities into concrete projects.

The role requires coordinating with Finance, Engineering, Regulatory, and Government Affairs to advance priority opportunities, while travel up to 25% and occasional international work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of relevant experience in business development, project development, commercial strategy, energy policy, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, evaluate, and advance complex commercial opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop US microreactor opportunities across energy-intensive sectors.
• Originate new customer relationships while developing opportunities from leadership.
• Lead early discussions about energy needs, project requirements, and potential applications.
• Convert market opportunities into specific, actionable projects.
• Develop maps addressing customer needs, decision-makers, and incentives.
• Work with Finance and Engineering to evaluate economics and financing.
• Support international BD by providing market and economic analyses.
• Coordinate with Finance, Engineering, Regulatory, Government Affairs, and leadership.
• Develop customer presentations, proposals, market analyses, and leadership briefs.
• Maintain a disciplined commercial pipeline and assess opportunity quality.
• Support negotiations and development of commercial agreements.
• Represent Antares at meetings, site visits, conferences.
