Job summary

Vitesse Systems, LLC is expanding its Business Development team in Houston, TX, focusing on satellite antenna systems and RF payloads for NASA, commercial space, and human spaceflight programs.

The role drives growth by building pipelines, leading capture strategies, and engaging with government and prime contractors. It requires experience in defense acquisitions, DoD/IC frameworks, and strong leadership in a federal context.

Qualifications

• 5-12+ years of federal business development or government contracting in aerospace/defense.
• Proven track record leading captures $10M–$100M with DoD, NASA, or the IC.
• Expertise in DoD and IC acquisition frameworks, FAR/DFARS compliance.
• Strong leadership presence and executive communication with senior decision-makers.
• Active U.S. Secret or TS/SCI clearance strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage opportunity pipelines aligned with growth goals and partnerships.
• Convert pipeline opportunities to meet quarterly and annual bookings targets.
• Lead capture strategy development for priority U.S. government programs in defense, intelligence, and civil space.
• Direct capture teams through win strategy creation, customer engagement planning, and solution positioning.
• Oversee competitor assessments, pricing strategy input, and proposal readiness reviews.
• Partner with Program Management and Technical Leadership to ensure alignment and bid quality.
• Maintain trusted relationships with federal stakeholders, primes, and subcontractors across the national security ecosystem.
• Drive disciplined, metrics-based capture reviews and ensure governance adherence.
