Job summary

Yoakum Bank is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead the bank's fiscal operations, supervise the accounting function, and report to the CEO and Board. The role requires strategic financial planning, risk management, and effective communication with executives and shareholders.

As a member of the executive team, you will direct budgeting, regulatory reporting, and financial strategy development while guiding staff through complex accounting standards and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, management, business administration, or related field.
• CPA certification required or in progress.
• Minimum five years of banking experience or similar public accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the organization’s fiscal function and performance.
• Administers the investment portfolio to maximize earnings, maintain liquidity, and minimize interest rate risk.
• Lead the asset/liability management process including data analysis, ALCO reports, and updating interest rate forecasts.
• Develop financial strategies by forecasting capital, liquidity, facilities, staff requirements, identifying funding sources and action plans.
• Monitor financial performance by measuring results, initiating corrective actions and minimizing variances.
• Report financial status by developing budgets and analyzing trends/variances and improvements.
• Oversee preparation of quarterly Call Report, regulatory reports, and related financial disclosures.
